The Duncan McCosker Photographic Art Institute (dMPAI) is dedicated to expanding the access of the those living in or visiting Korea to the world of photographic arts.  The Institute will enable professionals, students and all those interested in artistic photography to have first hand exposure to photographic works that have been displayed in museums around the world, to see in-person the unique equipment that world famous photographers have used throughout history and to browse through a large collection of books about the photographic arts. The Institute intends to host seminars, conferences and classes for students of photography. By furthering the understanding of the global traditions of artistic photography the Institute intends to play a role in furthering the appreciation and understanding, not only of the art itself, but the many varied cultures that gave rise to the world of artistic photography.
